Where to be a whore? The kitchen or the bedroom?

Two posts in a row! How astonishing. ;) I have just discovered these whore quotes which you may all feel free to discuss and analyze:

"He's mad that trusts in the tameness of a wolf, a horse's health, a boy's love, or a whore's oath." William Shakespeare

"What men desire is a virgin who is a whore."
Edward Dahlbert
(This one is very informative and provides an interesting insight into the male mind, I think. ;))

"Reason is a whore, the greatest enemy that faith has."
Martin Luther

"You can lead a whore to culture, but you can't make her think."
Dorothy Parker

"My mother said it was simple to keep a man, you must be a maid in the living room, a cook in the kitchen and a whore in the bedroom. I said I'd hire the other two and take care of the bedroom bit."
Jerry Hall

"The trouble with my wife is that she is a whore in the kitchen and a cook in bed."
Geoffrey Gorer
(Apparently his wife needs to read the previous quote.)

"As blushing will sometimes make a whore pass for a virtuous woman, so modesty may make a fool seem a man of sense."
Jonathan Swift
(This is clearly why Lan blushes all of the time. Rosy Girl. ;))

"Men will pay large sums to whores for telling them they are not bores."
W.H. Auden
(I love Auden!)
